So, doc finally finally cleared me to start running this week, though I still may have walking pneumonia (and this is why I hate the 70s... now I have a really crappy song stuck in my head). That means that I have only 13 weeks to get ready for Stowe. Wish me luck. If any of you will be there to see me run, I may require your presence to shoot me at the end of it, cause I sure the hell am not going to be able to handle a gun or much of anything.

Got everything ready for my audit on Wednesday, and it's good to go. On the downside, it's good to go despite the carelessness of my subordinate, which means I have to chew his ass when he gets back tomorrow. Don't really want to do that since I'm going on vacation Friday and I'd like to leave on a good note. But since he got married a couple of months ago, he's gone from being one of the best people I've ever had working for me to a careless, inattentive slacker. Having spent years myself as a careless, inattentive slacker, that's something I know quite a bit about... I just have to go about fixing it.

Listening to Mingus right now, so that's helping. He helps with anything. Also Polyphonic Spree... getting myself psyched up for their new album which comes out Tuesday (complete review to follow). Going by the new single, I think it's going to be incredible. I really don't want it to be unincredible, because that band is huge, and that's a lot of people I'd have to kidnap and shove in my basement, where they'd be kept on bread and water until they came up with a better one.
