Alright, it's late, and the day is finally catching up with me, but if I don't update a little bit at a time, I'll never get this done.
The picture of the egret (one of my favorite birds) was shot in the south county area, near a tidal marsh that we hiked in.
Monday, the 18th, we went to Block Island, where the next three were shot. These cliffs were at Corn Neck Harbor on the east side of the island. Fun hike down the saddle part of the cliffs. Later on, when we were tired and out of water, we hiked to (the very appropriately named) Sandy Point, where one of the old lighthouses still stands. (It's the second one that was built... during low tide, one can see the foundation of the first one.)
Oh yeah, and the pic of my friend... well, they say that you're supposed to take pictures that best represent someone, and she filled up a two-gig card in three weeks, so this is pretty much how I saw her.
That evening we went to Brenton Point, on the south part of Aquidneck Island ('my' island). The first and third ones are of the sunset, and the second one is my friend, apparently with her leg on fire. Oh yeah, we both got some serious burns that day, too... no reason, really, since my dumb ass had packed sunscreen but had forgot to put it on.
More later, maybe some more about the trip.
