Well, on my way off of the base I snapped these pictures of the goslings. They are even more adorable swimming. I especially like the little goose bottom in the last one. Of course, I'll be cursing that bottom in a couple months when I'm scooping goose crap off the lawn.
Spent the evening with my Japanese friend and went out for seafood at this awesome place in Jamestown (next island to the west). Then we drove around the south part of the island and watched the fog roll up the beach... we're both kind of freaks like that. All in all a good day, really. I even donated a double unit of platelets at the blood center... they really like me to do platelet donation when there's a machine open because I'm apparently blessed with twice the normal number of them. I wanted to ask the woman taking my donation if that was why my blood was so chewy, but I didn't want to gross her out. (For that matter, I think I just grossed myself out.)
Anyway, going to read for a while... not really tired, but I know I need to get up early... plus, tomorrow's another three-mile day and I'm going to try to do eight miles on Saturday. Trying not to reinjure myself, so the Sunday 'marathon pace' run is out. But I still want a better time than on my last one.
