Well, definintely feeling better. Kind of sucks... I had a three-day weekend, and I didn't really start feeling better until my first day back at work. Going to be a busy as hell week, too, so these are going to be short posts. If I think about it when I get home, I'll put some pics up... have some good ones of last Friday in NYC. Took Ronnie to the train station last night, then drove to the other corner of Rhode Island (took about a half-hour) to pick my other friend Ann up at the plane station. She'll be here until probably Friday, when she goes down to visit Ronnie in DC for a couple of days and then makes her way to Orlando, where she's settling. I haven't seen her for almost two years (and that time was only for a day, so I practically haven't seen her since 2002) and I would love to spend time with her, but...
Il Capitano is retiring Friday, and as his admin head, making sure that everything is lined up for the retirement ceremony (kind of a nice deal on our Chapel lawn, with a small band and medals and just enough hoopla to satisfy military requirements) has fallen on me. So far, everything's going according to plan, which worries me. Oh, and afterwards, of course, I have to open the chapel for a wedding rehearsal, and there's a wedding Saturday afternoon, as well. And I have to work Sunday AM. I told her when she bumped her trip back a couple of weeks that she had somehow managed to pick the absolute worst week to come visit. But, at least she's an independent type person... I showed her the bus stops, gave her the combo to one of our bikes, gave her the keys to my car, and told her not to get any tickets. I'll still be able to hang out in the evening.
Okay, actually have to work, now. And somehow today I'm going to squeeze in a three-miler. Think I really really need it.
