Sorry I don't have pictures, but if it's sunny out tomorrow, I'll bring my camera. But, well, the little strip of land where I work is home to a huge (250-plus) flock of Canadian geese who for some reason, decided they like Rhode Island better. Over the last seven months (I started working here in September) I've gone from being amazed to being frustrated to being tired of scooping up goose crap from the chapel lawn every couple of days. Well...
Today I was doing my five-mile (eight km) run (6:01 a kilometer, plus two intended breaks and one cute break) and I saw a small grouping of them off the trail. One of them started hissing at me. Granted, it could have been a comment on my fashion (moisture wicking fabric looks weird on anyone) but usually they only do that when they're in the trail and I'm running right for them. So I slowed down, went way out of the way, AND SAW EIGHT FUZZY FLUFFY GOSLINGS!!! I SO wanted to pick one up and nuzzle it but I really didn't want a mammagoose head up my ass. I saw four more families of them as I went along, too.
So yeah. Pics tomorrow. Just had to get that out real quick-like.
