Well, ran around Easton's Pond, which is actually probably exactly 4 mi in circumference, but starting from the intersection, I hit 6.4km (4 mi) on the last stretch going north. Took I think three walking breaks but ran much much better today... I think my 5K split was around 27:50 or something like that. (PR for a 5K race... 23:40.) Walked the last 1.2km back to my house for a cooldown. It kept on threatening to rain but other than a sprinkle, it never did... I'm sure that when I head downtown to Empire, the skies will open up overhead. It usually works that way.
Oh yeah, and I saw two gorgeous charcoal coloured bunnies on Valley Rd., and several nuthatches and finches... made the run go a little faster. And Easton's Pond, being a reservoir, is surreal and flat, next to Easton's Bay on the other side of the causeway dividing the two.
